Fredrik Schlyter

Fredrik Schlyter (born 1971)
Since boyhood I have been interested in nature and seeking for adventures.
I grow up in Norrkoping a town 2h south of Stockholm in Sweden.
There I started my climbing career. Mountain climbing has always played
a big part in my life. I have now been climbing for about 20 years.
The climbing trips have taken me to the most beautiful places and parts
of the world. From my home town to the Alps, Norway, Himalaya,
South America, USA, etc. I have mainly been interested in
Big Wall climbing and on my tick list you can find mountains such as
Trango Tower (Pakistan), The Troll wall and Kjerag (Norway),
Bonatti Pilar on Le Dru, Mont-Blanc Range (France),
El Capitan (Yosemite, USA), etc.
Climbing opened my eyes for photography. I have been awarded a
winning prize in adventure photography by an outdoor magazine
in Sweden. On this page you can find images from many places such as:
Sweden, Norway, The Alps, Himalaya, Uganda, USA, Peru, Ecuador, Galapagos,
and Bolivia etc.

Some companys I have work for.
Lowe Alpine (UK), Grivel (F), Utemagasinet (SE), Vagabond, Haglofs (SE),
Norrona (N), Stadium (SE), Folkbladet (SE), etc.

Camera equipment
The most of the images are taken with Fuji Provia 100f-200 ASA
Camera: Nikon F100 and Nikon D100
Flash: SB 80DX
Linses: 15mm Sigma, 20-35mm, 2,8 Nikkor, 70-200mm, 2,8 VR Nikkor

I can help you with photography!
I can be at your service with everything, from press to product and
commercial photographing. I can use both digital and old-fashioned
technique. My strength is to find unexpected angles when
taking pictures, which is something I learnt through mountain climbing.
I have taken many of the pictures on this page when climbing on
very high cliffs or hanging in ropes. So the weather and hard envirenment
will not be a problem for me.

Lectures and picture shows
There are lots of experiences behind the pictures. I am willing to visit
companies and associations in order to tell the stories behind the pictures
taken during my travels. The lectures may deal with experiences only or c
oncentrate more on leadership and team work as I have such experiences
too from my expeditions. “You will have to let go to come further.”
